🌙 Ward & Weave: A Beginner's candle Protection Spell
1. Why Protection Magic Belongs in Every Beginner's Practice
- Explains the core principle of energetic hygiene — protection spells act as a spiritual “shield” before deeper work.
- Highlights how this specific candle spell builds confidence: simple tools, low risk, high reward.
- Clarifies that protection magic is not about fear — it's about creating a safe container for your growth.
2. Gather Your Tools: What You'll Need & Why Each Item Matters
- White pillar or votive candle (represents purification and blank-slate energy).
- Small dish of sea salt or black salt (grounding, absorbs negative vibrations).
- Dried rosemary or bay leaf (ancient protective herbs — rosemary for clarity, bay for psychic defense).
- Optional but recommended: a small quartz Crystals or black tourmaline (amplifies intent + absorbs stray energy).
3. Setting the Stage: Cleanse, Center & Cast Your Circle
- Physically clean your workspace — a clear surface equals a clear mind; open a window for ventilation.
- Ground yourself: 3 slow breaths, feet flat on the floor, visualize roots anchoring you to the earth.
- Simple circle-casting: walk clockwise around your space (or trace a circle on your altar) while saying, “Only love and light may enter here.”
4. Step-by-Step: Charging & Dressing the Candle
- Hold the candle between your palms and state your intention aloud (e.g., “I am protected. I am safe. This flame repels all harm.”).
